WELCOME TO MY BLOGS
Your Bio needs to explain who you are, what you do, how your customers can contact you, and what action they should take next.
When a new follower lands on your page, before they see your posts\captions\stories\reels, they see your bio. Your bio is the first impression they get (in addition to your profile picture and username) which is why I want to help you optimise your bio.
You have such a short window to grab a new viewers attention and turn them into a follower where they land on your page—
This is KEY to conversion.
You need to stand out to your ideal client and follower RIGHT AWAY on Instagram to make a strong 1st impression.
Your bio section is the FIRST thing people see when they land on your profile, and is often the deciding factor if they continue on to look at your content and hopefully follow, or decide to bounce. You want them to follow you right? Read on......
Things to avoid in your bio
1) Using terminology others won't understand, keep it simple
2) Random info, unless it helps you to explain what your business is about or your expertise, save it for your posts
3) Using hashtags, if someone clicks on the tag they will be taken away from your page (not what you want)
4) Promoting all your services/offers, explain what you do, who you help & how you do it
5) Using a fancy font as the Instagram won't be able to recognise them
6) Too many links & broken link
7) Long wordy sentences & not broken up using emojis
Drive Traffic by Encouraging Viewers to Head to Your Link in Bio
The best way to drive traffic from Reels is by including a clear call-to-action (CTA) that encourages people to head to your link in bio.
This could be with on-screen text placement, a verbal call-out, in your video caption, or all of the above. You can use a link in bio tool, like LINK.DTREE to create a mini landing page with multiple link buttons and clickable images:
